History

The Tourtel Brewery was founded by the Tourtel brothers in Tantonville, France, in 1839; it was here that the principle of low fermentation was developed for the first time. Shortly thereafter, the first malting machine was also introduced. These advances allowed the first commercial recipe for an alcohol-free beer to be created, which in 1990 was launched in Italy by Birra Peroni; Tourtel has since become synonymous with high-quality alcohol-free beer, establishing itself as a market leader and maintaining its position to this day. In 2010, a revolutionary, all-natural recipe was introduced, developed to bring the taste of this beer even closer to normal lagers without changing the natural fermentation process, and respecting all stages of production.
