Fuller’s
Golden Pride8,5% vol
“Gran Cru” Strong Ale from Fuller’s portfolio, to be enjoyed slowly. This is an amber beer with a full-bodied taste: the first version was produced in 1967 and marketed as a barley wine. It had an alcohol content of 9%, but over time it lost this classification and the alcohol content dropped to its current 8.5%. On the palate it still reveals its past as a barley wine, with a liqueur-like, sweet, alcoholic aftertaste. Michael Jackson called it “the Cognac of beers”.
