Peroni's golden ingredient is its excellent, all-Italian malt.

We know the barley malt we use for our beers, and we know how carefully the barley is grown and processed to produce the malt that gives our beer its unmistakable character. All Peroni beers are produced only with 100% Italian malt, made from a special kind of two-row barley that’s grown close to our breweries to ensure maximum sustainability and authenticity.

The barley used in Peroni beers is entirely grown and malted in Italy. We work with over 1,500 farmers growing two-row barley.
Barley is produced in various Italian regions including: Marche, Abruzzo, Molise, Apulia, Umbria, Tuscany, Lazio, Campania, Sardinia and Friuli Venezia Giulia. The harvest is then stored and delivered to the Saplo malt house in Pomezia, a member of our Group.
